Who We Are
Introduction
Hello! I am Rachel Bowen the Program Director/Owner of Always Sunny Connections, LLC. For many years, I have dreamt about developing a program for adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities that would incorporate family, community and the outdoors. The main focus of the program is to provide the highest quality of care for the individuals & their families. I strive to provide opportunities for those in the program to give back to their communities in various ways. My hope is that this will create a sense of purpose and achievement each day. I am delighted to develop and grow a family & community-based program in the Ellsworth, WI area.
Experienced and Supportive
At a young age, I developed the skills and passion to care for people when my mom was diagnosed with MS. I quickly became a caregiver for my mother, which continued into my adulthood. I have spent most of my career providing care and services for individuals with disabilities. From providing direct care and managing adult family homes to being an IRIS Consultant for participants in the area. I then rounded out my experience with a financial role for an adult program and medical/insurance billing. This provides a wide variety of experience which has become the foundation for creating this program. I enjoy a good challenge and learning new skills, this will allow me to provide specialized care for those in the program.
My Family
Since the program is based in my personal home, I would like to introduce my family. I have been married to my husband, Matt for 17 years. We both grew up in the area and love living in the country on our 5 acres. We have 2 children, 3 cats, a dog and many other animals. Our kids, Madison & Mason keep us busy with their activities such as 4-H, FFA, Boy Scouts and sports. We spend our spare time gardening, canning and camping up north. I am extremely Thankful that my family supports my dreams, which allows me to have this program in our home.
